Recent:
Jan: AAC& U in Washington: major speech; reception hosted by David Tatel, Board chair, in honor of Lee
Feb: Keynote speech at AACTE in New Orleans; Deborah was the other keynote. Both were fabulous.
March: AERA, no major speeches
April: Lisbon: one of keynote speakers at conference on higher education
May (after event) : Honorary doctorate, Penn State; Honorary doctorate, Jefferson University of the Health Sciences; presentations at the Network for Research in Jewish Education
June: Alumni Lifetime Achievement Award, University of Chicago
Upcoming:
The next two or three months I'm really slowing down with very few
things on the calendar that require speaking (coherently)! It's
rehearsal for retirement...
May 8 Stanford Higher Education Colloquium (What I
learned about higher education from eleven years at CFAT)
May 16 Penn State Graduation speech; Hon. Doc.
Penn State Talk to faculty and students
May 29 Philadelphia Graduation speech at Jefferson U. of Health
Sciences with hon doc
June 1,2 Presentations at Network for Research on Jewish
Education, Cleveland (with Judy and Sharon)
June 4-5 Palo Alto Meeting of Carnegie Project on Doctorate
And then not a single scheduled speech for months and months! I have a
feeling that while I'm in residence in Chicago and in New York, things
will spring up spontaneously, but for now, nada. I do expect to offer
impromptu toasts at our grandson Jordy's bar mitzvah Memorial Day
weekend and at Sarah Grossman-Kahn's bat mitzvah in July (can you
believe?)
what about a map with places in the world where lee's students have jobs:
